Lost or Stolen Passport

  1. 1.File a police report at the nearest police box (koban) — you'll need it for the embassy
  2. 2.Contact your embassy immediately to apply for an emergency travel document
  3. 3.Bring: passport photo (2), police report, any ID you have, flight itinerary
  4. 4.Emergency travel documents usually take 1–3 business days
